Probably the most often used window in Rumpus, the "Define Users" window allows you to create and manage user accounts, without having to create user accounts in OS X. Specify a "Home Folder" (which restricts the user to their own area of the server), access privileges, account restrictions, Event Notices, and more. |
Event Notices can be created to send e‑mail or trigger your own custom script, and then assigned to specific server events. For example, notices can be triggered when particular users transfer files to or from the server. Or, have Rumpus send you a nightly status report or a message when a hack attempt is detected. |

For most people, setting up your network to accept incoming connections is more difficult than setting up the server itself. So, Rumpus includes detailed help information, customized based on your network type and server settings, to help you complete the job. |
Rumpus supports secured connections for both Web (HTTPS) and FTP (FTPS) by installing and automatically configuring the Stunnel SSL wrapper. |
