The "TestRumpus" Demo Server

To see how your clients and customers will be able to access your server, we've set up a Mac Mini demonstration server. Keep in mind that Rumpus can be extended and customized in hundreds of ways, and that the example server is a basic, general purpose installation.

We've configured the server with 3 different user accounts you can try. When prompted, enter the username/password of "moe/moe", "larry/larry" or "curly/curly". Each of these accounts has access to their own content area on the server, though all 3 have access to shared folders, as well.

Web Access

To log in to the test server via the Rumpus Web File Manager, simply direct your browser to:

http://www.testrumpus.com/

Note that the "Curly" user account features an example "Upload Center" form, which demonstrates how information can be collected from users when they send files.

Alternate URLs, all of which provide access to the same test server, can be used to review the WFM interface in Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Norwegian and Swedish.

http://danish.testrumpus.com/
http://dutch.testrumpus.com/
http://finnish.testrumpus.com/
http://french.testrumpus.com/
http://german.testrumpus.com/
http://norwegian.testrumpus.com/
http://swedish.testrumpus.com/

Finally, another URL (again, to the same server) demonstrates the alternate "boxes" WFM appearance.

http://boxes.testrumpus.com/

WebDAV Access

You can also mount the server on your Mac desktop. In the Finder, choose "Connect To Server..." from the "Go" menu. When asked for the server address, enter:

http://www.testrumpus.com/

After you click "Connect", you will be prompted for a name and password. Enter both the name and password as "moe", "larry" or "curly". The test server content area will be mounted on your desktop as any other external drive or network volume.

Other standard WebDAV clients are also supported. To connect, the same "www.testrumpus.com" address and "moe", "larry" and "curly" account names can be used.

FTP Access

For FTP access, use any traditional FTP client, such as Fetch or Transmit on the Mac or WS_FTP or CuteFTP on Windows. When prompted for the server address, enter "ftp.testrumpus.com", and supply the user account name and password (again, "moe/moe", "larry/larry" or "curly/curly"). Your FTP client will connect and display the same content area shown in the Web browser or WebDAV client as described above.
