WebDoubler, the Web proxy server for Mac OS 8/9, is no longer available. Instead, Maxum now offers iAssist, which includes, among other useful services, the world's most popular proxy server, Squid. iAssist can be run on any Mac OS X 10.2 or higher computer and provide proxy services for clients running Mac OS X, Mac OS 8/9, Windows, and other popular platforms.

iAssist will install, setup, and manage the Squid proxy server, which has been updated by Maxum to include the "HostBlock" content filtering system. This solution provides the reliability and speed of the best Unix proxy service available with the ease of use and content filtering capabilities WebDoubler users have always enjoyed.

All existing WebDoubler customers are entitled to upgrade to iAssist at no cost through January 1, 2005. Simply download iAssist and validate with your existing WebDoubler serial number and validation code. This will fully and permanently validate your copy of iAssist.
