iAssist Has Been Discontinued
Maxum no longer actively distributes iAssist, though we do continue to provide technical support for existing iAssist customers. If you have questions, or need help with an existing iAssist installation, please contact us at "support@maxum.com".
Important! iAssist dynamically loads most of it's functionality (in the form of individual modules) from the Maxum Web site. If you ever have the need to restore or move your iAssist installation, you may find that these modules can't be downloaded. The complete module set is therefore available here:
[ Download The iAssist Module Library ]
Please download the module archive file and store it in a safe place. Should you ever need to install a fresh copy of iAssist, extract the ".zip" archive and place the "iAssist" folder in the "Library" folder at the root of your OS X boot volume.
We also recommend that you disable the module update check (on the "Updates" tab of the iAssist Preferences window, set the "Automatically Update" pop-up menu to "Never"), since module updates are not expected in the future.
Finally, I would like to thank you for your continued support of Maxum Development. While iAssist (and NetCloak) are no longer sustainable products, I understand that you have an investment in your existing server, and am committed to providing the support you need to maintain that investment. If you have any questions or problems, please don't hesitate to contact me at "support@maxum.com".

Overview
iAssist is the Internet server management system for Mac OS X. Think of iAssist as an ever expanding knowledge base of information about managing a Mac-based Internet server. In fact, at first glance, iAssist looks a lot like a hierarchically organized reference or help system. But unlike a help system, iAssist doesn't just tell you how to perform a task... it does it for you.
Rather than building a piece of software and slapping a help system on as an afterthought, iAssist has been designed to explain to you the task at hand first. The result is a simple interface that is remarkably quick to use and feels immediately comfortable.

Reworking how you work with software is only the first element that sets iAssist apart from other software you have used in the past. The second is that iAssist has been designed from the beginning to be dynamic. We've done away with software updates, patches and release schedules, and replaced them with software that is revised on a weekly or even daily basis.
In other words, at it's core iAssist isn't really an Internet server manager at all, but a framework for managing and integrating a collection of Internet server managers. This allows us to add features, fix problems, and keep pace with new technologies in a completely new, dynamic, and very customer-focused way.
